Counseling & Psychological Services
SDSU Imperial Valley Counseling & Psychological Services
SDSU Imperial Valley provides both in person and virtual counseling and psychological services for students. Services provided include assessment and counseling on issues relating to:
- Self-esteem
- Personal problems
- Depression/anxiety
- Problem solving
- Family Conflict & Relationship Issues
- Academic problems
- Stress Management
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Our individual services are designed for students who can benefit from short-term therapy. Often a few individual meetings with a therapist can help you better identify, understand, and resolve the emotional barriers that may be interfering with your sense of personal well-being and academic success. These confidential services are paid for through the student health fee. If a student's situation requires longer term therapy, referrals can be provided for off-campus resources.
Services for SDSU-IV students are provided in English and Spanish.
