Plan of Study Options

First Bachelor's Degree Option

For students who are obtaining their first bachelor's degree
  • Pattern: ABC
  • At least one must be a cultural diversity course as designated by an * in the general catalog. The catalog is online.
  • An additional ethnic studies requirement is outlined in the general catalog
  • These are available online or on-campus & can be taken any semester (Summer, Fall or Spring), prior to graduation


Group A: Natural Sciences
Group B: Social & Behavioral Sciences
Group C: Humanities

  • 1 upper division writing course is required before graduation
  • NUR 312 (3U) Professional Nursing
  • NUR 307 (3U) Nursing Reserach
  • NUR 320 & L (4U) Health Assessment

*The above courses are pre-requisite courses for the clinical courses below

  • NUR 415 & L (5U) Community Health
  • NUR 458 & L (5U) Leadership & Management
  • NUR 400 & L (6U) Complex, High Acuity Patients
  • 120 Total Units Required for the Degree
    • 70 from ADRN + 50 from SDSU: We give 15 units for NCLEX, which leaves 35 units of actual coursework (26 RN-BS & 12 from GE)

 

Second Bachelor's Degree Option

For students who have a previous bachelor's degreee in another field

RN-BS in Nursing Courses (26 units) + 15 units of credit are granted once proof of RN license is received.

  • NUR 320 & L (4U) Health Assessment
