Research/scholarly interests:

I have been working for a number of years on the idea of trauma in literary studies. Specifically, I am trying to show that Charles S. Peirce’s concept of abductive inference may be a significant resource for literary trauma studies, and vice versa.

Courses taught at SDSU-IV:

Introduction to literary study, various eras of American literature, Renaissance literature, and English drama, as well as various levels of composition.
